Ballon d’Or 2020 has been canceled by France Football because of Coronavirus. The Ballon d’Or will not be awarded this year.
The Golden Ball is awarded to the player, who showed great gameplay throughout the year. Due to COVID-19 disrupting the entire Football schedule, the organization has decided to not to hold this ceremony this year.
This means Messi will be able to keep his Ballon d’Or winning title for 12 more months.
With this, the chances of Polish Footballer and Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski and Kevin De Bruyne from Manchester City has been nullified.
Every top scorrer will have to perform another year to win Ballon d’Or 2021.
