The winners of the 2025 D.I.C.E. Awards have been revealed, and it’s no shock that Astro Bot dominated the event. These awards, presented annually in various categories, are often likened to the Oscars of the gaming world. In addition to Astro Bot claiming the top honors, Helldivers 2 excelled with four awards, while both Balatro and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle secured three awards each.
Astro Bot not only clinched Game of the Year but also received accolades for Outstanding Achievement in Animation, Outstanding Technical Achievement, Family Game of the Year, and Outstanding Achievement in Game Design.
Helldivers 2 garnered awards for Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition, Outstanding Achievement in Audio Design, Action Game of the Year, and Online Game of the Year.
Other notable winners included Black Myth: Wukong, which earned the title of Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction, and Tekken 8, recognized as Fighting Game of the Year. F1 24 raced ahead to claim Racing Game of the Year, while the honor for Role-Playing Game of the Year went to Metaphor: ReFantazio.
The engaging Balatro took home the Strategy/Simulation Game of the Year title, and MLB The Show 24 was declared Sports Game of the Year. In the realm of immersive experiences, Starship Home, available on the Meta Quest, was awarded for Immersive Reality Technical Achievement, while Batman: Arkham Shadow won Immersive Reality Game of the Year. Finally, Animal Well received the award for Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction.
