Aqara has been making waves lately, having rolled out Matter support for an impressive array of 50 device types earlier this month. Now, they’ve unveiled three exciting new products: the Aqara M100 Hub, the Climate Sensor W100, and the Camera Protect Kit Y100. All three items are available for purchase now.

For those looking to consolidate their smart devices, the Aqara Smart Hub M100 is likely to steal the spotlight. This next-generation smart hub ensures fluid compatibility with Matter, enabling users to create intricate automations between Aqara devices and those from other Matter-enabled platforms.

The M100 can connect with up to 20 Zigbee devices, and it incorporates facial recognition features that can work with Home Assistant and other Matter-enabled ecosystems. Its compact design allows for easy placement anywhere in your home, and setup is almost instant. Simply plug in the hub, connect to your network, and start integrating your devices. Thanks to its support for 2.4GHz Wi-Fi 6, users can expect reliable performance.

Aqara also introduced the Climate Sensor W100, which isn’t a smart thermostat but serves as a handy tool to help manage your home’s climate. It features a sizable 3.4-inch display that shows the current temperature and humidity, alongside three buttons that allow for various programming options. This device offers a more tangible approach to climate control, making it a compelling alternative to managing settings strictly through a smartphone app. Priced at $40, it could be particularly appealing for homeowners seeking to enhance their climate control without the need for a second thermostat.

Another notable release is the Camera Protect Kit Y100, a comprehensive security bundle that includes a 2K camera, a door and window sensor, a motion detector, and a vibration sensor. This kit is designed for local recording with an integrated microSD card slot and can connect with Apple Home, Alexa, and Google Home for seamless voice control accessibility.

Here’s a quick overview of the pricing: the Aqara Smart Hub M100 is available for $20, the Climate Sensor W100 retails for $40, and the Camera Protect Kit Y100 is priced at $140. All three innovative products are now ready to enhance your smart home experience.
