If you’ve been eager to indulge in the finest culinary experiences in your area, Apple Maps has just the solution for you. Additionally, if you’re interested in shedding some calories on the golf course, they’ve got that covered too.
Apple has recently partnered with the MICHELIN Guide and The Infatuation to enable users to explore and learn about Michelin-starred restaurants on their mapping platform. “Users can now search for MICHELIN-starred, Green Star, and Bib Gourmand eateries, as well as MICHELIN-rated hotels, starting in the U.S.,” the company announced.
Why Does It Matter?
For those unfamiliar, a Michelin star is a prestigious rating given to restaurants and chefs distinguished for their culinary skills. A similar recognition is available for hotels that exemplify superior hospitality. While many of these venues are upscale, there are also Michelin-rated restaurants that offer delicious meals at accessible prices.
The partnership allows users to easily see vital data when searching for Michelin-rated venues, displaying cards that feature their rankings, images, and insights on food options from culinary experts. After all, if you're planning to treat yourself to an exquisite meal, it makes sense to know what the experts have to say about it even before heading out.

To take full advantage of these features, users can set appropriate filters in Apple Maps to find the dining options that best match their preferences. If curious about what a Michelin-starred experience entails, detailed guides are available for further exploration.
What Else Is on the Platter?
For selected venues, users will have the ability to make reservations directly within Apple Maps. Upcoming enhancements will also include tailored content from The Infatuation and Golf Digest, expanding the pool of expert-driven information.
When searching for hotels on Apple Maps, a new filter labeled “Michelin Distinctions” will appear. When choosing any options visible on the map, users will receive summaries, highlights, and details about the number of Michelin stars attributed to the restaurant.
In the same vein, Apple Maps users will be able to book tee times directly through a collaboration with Supreme Golf. Currently, these exciting new features are available only in the U.S., with no official word on a potential global launch.
