Anthony Mackie reprises his role as John Doe in the teaser for season 2 of Twisted Metal.
John declares, “The joyride is over. The tournament is here.” Following the dramatic finale of season 1, he and Quiet (played by Stephanie Beatriz) are prepared to risk it all as they enter the dangerous Twisted Metal tournament. This high-stakes demolition derby is hosted by Calypso (Anthony Carrigan), with the winner granted a life-changing wish. During the competition, John encounters his sister, Dollface, which adds a layer of complexity to his quest for victory.
Returning for the new season is the beloved character Sweet Tooth, brought to life by Will Arnett and Joe Seanoa (also known as Samoa Joe), the deadly clown who captivates audiences. Additional recurring cast members include Saylor Bell Curda, Lisa Gilroy, Richard de Klerk, Patty Guggenheim, Tiana Okoye, and Michael James Shaw.

Michael Jonathan Smith serves as the writer, executive producer, and showrunner for Sweet Tooth. The series draws inspiration from the vehicular combat game developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. This season features directors like Phil Sgriccia, Bill Benz, Iain MacDonald, and Bertie Ellwood.
Since its debut in July 2023, Twisted Metal has become the most-binged comedy premiere on Peacock.

This week is especially eventful for Mackie, who dons the iconic red, white, and blue shield in Captain America: Brave New World. This marks his first opportunity to take the lead in a Captain America film. Unfortunately, early critiques have been less than favorable, with one reviewer giving it a rating of 1.5 out of 5 stars. Time will tell if Mackie will take on a larger role in future Avengers projects.
Catch Twisted Metal streaming on Peacock this summer. All episodes from season 1 are currently available to watch.
