During the Bund Financial Forum on September 6, Ant Group unveiled an upgraded version of its AI financial assistant, “Ma Xiaocai.” This new version is now fully available within the Alipay app.
The enhanced “Ma Xiaocai” offers real-time interpretation of trending topics and personalized services that guarantee answers to users’ questions. Additionally, Ant Group has launched a new app, Ant Wealth, which features the “Ma Xiaocai” Pro version in beta. This version introduces innovative services such as voice control for various functions and customized briefings, marking it as the first financial app in China to provide a native AI experience.
According to Ant Group, “Ma Xiaocai” leverages its self-developed large language model to interpret financial reports promptly. When asked about a publicly traded company’s earnings report, “Ma Xiaocai” can generate an instant graphical analysis, highlighting key data changes and their causes.
The AI assistant excels at simplifying complex market trends, product terminology, and financial documents into easily digestible content using advanced language technologies.
As of the end of August 2024, Ant Group reported that “Ma Xiaocai” has garnered 70 million monthly active users, with approximately 45% of them residing in third-tier cities and beyond.
In addition to its availability on Alipay, the “Ma Xiaocai” Pro version is undergoing beta testing within the Ant Wealth app. Users can activate it through voice commands, allowing “Ma Xiaocai” to provide insights on market trends and industry analyses. Throughout the interaction, “Ma Xiaocai” will guide users based on their service needs.
