Tajik singer and social media influencer Abdu Rozik was arrested at Dubai International Airport on Saturday. His management confirmed the news to Khaleej Times.
The 21-year-old was detained around 5 AM after arriving from Montenegro. As of now, authorities have not disclosed the reason for his arrest, and no official statement has been issued.
A representative from his company mentioned, “We are aware he has been taken into custody on allegations of theft,” but declined to provide any further information.
Rozik, who stands just over three feet tall due to a growth hormone deficiency, is one of the most recognized young celebrities in the region. He holds a UAE Golden Visa and has been residing in Dubai for several years. He became well-known through his music, viral videos, and participation in reality shows, including Bigg Boss 16.
In 2024, he made his boxing debut at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena and introduced his restaurant brand, Habibi, in the UK. That year, he was also questioned by India’s Enforcement Directorate as part of a money laundering investigation linked to a hospitality company, although he was not named as a suspect.
