Google has unveiled an exciting development with its advanced video creation model, Veo 3, now available to Google AI Pro subscribers in over 150 countries, including Pakistan.
This announcement was made in a press release on Friday and introduces an innovative photo-to-video feature that enables users to transform still images into vibrant eight-second video clips with sound.
The new functionality is an extension of Veo 3, which debuted early this year. It empowers users to utilize Google’s advanced AI to animate their cherished photos, providing an effortless method to produce captivating visual content.
Within just seven weeks, users worldwide have already generated over 40 million Veo 3 videos, reimagining classic tales, exploring ASMR, and pushing creative limits.
Digital storytellers and content creators in Pakistan can eagerly anticipate diving into these new creative opportunities.
How to Use the New Veo 3 Feature
To convert photos into videos, simply select ‘Videos’ from the tool menu in the prompt box and upload your photo. Next, describe the scene and any audio instructions, then watch as the image transforms into an engaging video.
This feature is currently available to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in select countries, allowing users to animate everything from personal memories to artistic sketches.
Upload a photo, provide a description and any audio cues, and Gemini will generate a dynamic video ready for download or sharing. These features are also integrated into Flow, Google’s AI filmmaking tool.
Expanding Creative Possibilities in Flow
Additionally, these functionalities are accessible in Flow, Google’s AI platform for filmmakers, which now includes the option to add voiceovers to video clips along with sound effects and background music. Note that audio generation in Flow remains experimental, so results may vary.
The Frames to Video feature, which transforms personal images into the basis for dynamic clips, is also part of Veo 3 Fast, helping users make the most out of their credits. Flow and Google AI Ultra are now available in over 140 countries, broadening access to these innovative creative resources.
Commitment to Trust and Safety in AI
Google is dedicated to responsible AI practices. All videos produced with Gemini bear a visible watermark and an invisible SynthID digital marker, clearly indicating their AI origins.
The company conducts thorough “red teaming” exercises to stress-test its systems, proactively identifying and addressing potential concerns. Comprehensive evaluations are performed to understand potential uses of these tools and to prevent misuse.
Policies against unsafe content are consistently enforced, and ongoing user feedback is collected to enhance safety measures.
Please use the thumbs up and down buttons on generated videos for feedback, which will help improve safety measures and overall user experience moving forward.
