A pilot from the Indian Air Force (IAF) tragically lost their life when a Jaguar fighter jet went down near Bhanuda village in Churu, Rajasthan, as reported by local news outlets.
The aircraft had launched from the Suratgarh airbase prior to the incident.
The Jaguar is a twin-engine combat aircraft that comes in both single-seat and twin-seat configurations, and it is widely utilized by the IAF. Initially introduced in the late 1970s, the aircraft has seen extensive enhancements over the years.
Earlier, on March 7, another Jaguar from the IAF had crashed in Ambala due to a malfunction. The pilot managed to safely eject and guided the jet away from populated areas.
This is an ongoing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
