Countries in the region, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt, have condemned Iran’s missile strikes on a U.S. military base in Qatar.

Iran’s military described the missile strikes on the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American military facility in the region, as “devastating and powerful,” representing a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict.

Saudi Arabia specifically criticized Iran for its “unjustifiable” attack on the U.S. base in Qatar, extending an offer to use “all its capabilities” to support Doha, despite previously tense relations with the nation.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry stated, “We strongly condemn and denounce the aggression launched by Iran against the sisterly state of Qatar. Such actions are unacceptable and unjustifiable under any circumstances. The Kingdom expresses its solidarity and full support for Qatar, offering all necessary assistance as Qatar decides on future measures.”

The United Arab Emirates also rebuked the Iranian assault on Al Udeid Air Base, calling it a serious violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and airspace.

According to a statement from Abu Dhabi’s Foreign Ministry, the UAE “condemns in the strongest terms the targeting of Al Udeid Air Base by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.”

Egypt characterized the Iranian attack as a “violation of Qatar’s sovereignty, a threat to its territorial integrity, and a breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.” Cairo expressed deep concern about the escalating tensions in the region, rejecting all forms of military escalation and infringement on national sovereignty. Egypt called for de-escalation and a ceasefire to maintain peace and security in the region.

Jordan condemned what it referred to as “Iran’s aggression against the sisterly state of Qatar.”

Bahrain voiced its full support and solidarity with Qatar.

Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry labeled the Iranian attack a “dangerous escalation” and offered its backing to Qatar.

Oman’s Foreign Ministry condemned the rising tensions in the region, attributing them partly to actions by Israel, which includes the recent Iranian missile strike.

The office of the Palestinian Authority President also denounced the attack as “a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty.”

Iraq warned that regional tensions have reached a “dangerous and unprecedented turning point” and called for a return to diplomatic dialogue.
