WASHINGTON: A small aircraft carrying 20 passengers crashed in Tennessee on Sunday.
Several individuals on board sustained injuries and were transported to medical facilities. The plane, used for skydiving, went down shortly after taking off from Tullahoma Regional Airport.

Investigators are currently looking into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, its officers are assisting local police “at the site of a plane crash on Old Shelbyville Road” in central Coffee County.
“Some individuals were airlifted to nearby hospitals. The scene remains active,” they reported, promising further updates.
Social media images depicted a small white plane with its nose lodged in the grass and the tail severed.
The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that the aircraft involved was a de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter, which “crashed shortly after taking off from Tullahoma Regional Airport around 12:45 PM local time (17:45 GMT) on Sunday.”
“There were 20 people on board. The FAA is conducting an investigation.”
Local news agencies have indicated that the plane was being utilized for skydiving operations.
