Title: Damage Reported to Crimea Bridge Following Attack
A recent event has revealed damage to the Crimea Bridge, a crucial connection between Russia and the Crimean peninsula. This was highlighted in a striking image captured from the city of Kerch.
Reportedly, Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) announced on Tuesday that they successfully targeted the bridge’s underwater sections with explosives set off below the waterline. According to their statement, about 1,100 kilograms (approximately 2,420 pounds) of explosives were detonated early in the morning, causing damage to the bridge’s underwater pillars. This structure has served as a vital supply route for Russian military operations in Ukraine in previous conflicts.
Russian state media confirmed that operations on the bridge were halted for roughly three hours, from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. local time, due to the incident. On Tuesday, Russian authorities communicated via Telegram that road traffic across the bridge was temporarily suspended.
However, after a thorough inspection conducted by Russian engineers later that day, traffic was allowed to resume on the bridge.
