Donald Trump Jr, the eldest son of former U.S. President Donald Trump, hinted at a potential presidential run during his visit to Qatar, stating, “that calling is there.” This remark came on Wednesday while he was attending the Qatar Economic Forum in Doha.
When asked if he might carry on his father’s legacy, he replied, “I don’t know, maybe one day. You know, that calling is there. I’ll always be active as a vocal advocate for these ideals. I believe my father’s influence has significantly transformed the Republican Party.”
His response to the moderator’s question about running for office was a light-hearted chuckle, as he said, “Here we go. Well… oh boy,” which prompted some light applause from the audience. “It’s an honor to be considered,” he added, acknowledging the supportive reactions from attendees.
During the forum, alongside Omeed Malik, founder of 1789 Capital, Donald humorously noted that the supporters in the audience were “the few people we know.”
As the executive vice president of the Trump Organization, he collaborates with his younger brother, Eric, managing the family’s real estate and business endeavors. Politically, he has been an active surrogate, particularly during his father’s campaigns in the 2016 and 2020 elections.
