RIYADH: On Saturday, Saudi Arabia announced that the new moon indicating the start of Shawwal has been sighted, and Eid ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Sunday, March 30, according to reports from Arab media.
As per media reports, the moon-sighting committee gathered after the Maghrib prayers and confirmed the sighting of the crescent moon, signaling the conclusion of Ramadan after 29 days of fasting.
Additionally, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has also declared that Sunday, March 30, 2025, will mark the first day of Eid ul-Fitr.
