Upgrading your HP All-in-One – 22-b013w is a great way to improve its performance and extend its lifespan. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to upgrade your PC’s memory and storage, ensuring you get the most out of your device.

How to Upgrade Memory in Your HP All-in-One – 22-b013w

  1. Check Current Memory Configuration:
Your HP All-in-One comes with 4 GB of memory, but you have the option to double that. It can accommodate 8 GB total, using two 4 GB DDR3L-1600 SODIMM memory chips.

  2. Purchase Compatible Memory:
To upgrade your RAM, you’ll need to purchase a compatible memory chip. A recommended option is the Timetec 4GB DDR3L-1600, which is commonly used for this model.

  3. Locate Memory Slots:
To find where to install the new memory, refer to the motherboard layout. You can check the details on platforms like eBay for visual guidance on the memory slot layout. Here’s a link to an eBay listing  showing the motherboard.

  4. Disassemble Your PC:
Start removing the casing carefully. If you’re unsure how to do this, there’s a helpful video available on YouTube—check it out here—that provides a visual tutorial on upgrading your HP 22-b013w.

  5. Install the New RAM:
Insert the new 4 GB chip into the empty white memory slot at a 45-degree angle. Push it down gently until it clicks into place parallel to the motherboard.

Optional: Upgrade Your Hard Drive to an SSD

Upgrading to a solid-state drive (SSD) will significantly boost your system’s speed. If you’re looking to replace the existing mechanical hard drive, consider using a SSD like the Western Digital Blue SA510. It offers 1 TB of storage, making it perfect for everyday use.

You will also need a 3.5" to 2.5" adapter. This will help mount your new SSD properly. A suitable product can be found here: ORICO Adapter.

Once you’ve upgraded the memory and possibly replaced the hard drive with an SSD, you’ll notice a significant increase in speed and performance. Enjoy your newly upgraded HP All-in-One!
