If you’ve ever combined Apple Intelligence and Notes, you might have run into some frustrating issues. For example, I spent hours building a detailed table in Notes, then asked Apple Intelligence to add up some numbers. Suddenly, the entire table and some related text disappeared. It was disheartening to see all my work vanish in an instant.

The worst part is that there doesn’t seem to be a straightforward way to undo or recover the lost content. Once it’s gone, you’re left wondering if there’s any solution or backup to retrieve what was lost. This kind of problem has happened to others too, even months after the initial report. Many users have shared similar stories, expressing how shocking it is that such features can delete important data without a clear way to recover it.

If you’re dealing with this situation, here’s what you can do: first, check if your notes have a previous version saved. Sometimes, Notes on your device or iCloud might keep a backup or history, so explore the “Versions” option if available. Also, regularly backing up your notes can prevent future losses.

While these issues are frustrating, sticking to frequent backups and being cautious when asking automation tools to modify your notes can save you from losing valuable work in the future. Remember, technology isn’t perfect; always have a plan B!
