If you’re using the latest iOS 26 update and find your AirPods constantly interrupting your workout with Siri comments, you’re not alone. Many users have noticed that during activities like watching Netflix or listening to podcasts, Siri will chime in with updates about your workout, such as your running speed. This can be quite distracting, especially if you’re trying to focus or enjoy your music.

The good news is that this feature is part of the new Workout Buddy introduced in WatchOS 26. It’s designed to motivate you with verbal encouragement. However, if it’s more of a distraction than a help, you can turn it off. Here’s how:

  1. Open the Workout app on your Apple Watch.
  2. Find the specific workout you’re doing.
  3. Tap the bell icon located in the bottom right corner of the workout screen.
  4. Select Turn off Workout Buddy.

Once you disable this feature, Siri will no longer interrupt your listening sessions with workout updates. This simple step can help you enjoy your music or podcasts without unwanted interruptions.
