In many classic RPGs, players often faced the dilemma of swapping out their beloved armor set for newer, statistically superior options. In Avowed, wearing upgraded gear is crucial for success, but that doesn’t mean you have to forsake your sense of style. Especially if you’re playing in third-person perspective, it’s important for your character to look impressive while adventuring and showcasing your awesome abilities. The good news is that Avowed features a transmog system, allowing you to don the most effective armor while still keeping the aesthetic of your favorite look. Alternatively, you can completely hide your armor as well. Here’s how you can achieve both.
How to Hide or Transmog Your Armor
Your gear in Avowed mainly consists of your armor and gloves, which means you can customize your appearance however you like. You can hide your armor at any time, but to use the transmog feature, you’ll need at least two sets of gear.
Step 1: Pause the game and access your Inventory.
Step 2: In the armor section, equip the armor that provides the desired stats and highlight the armor you want your character to visually wear.
Step 3: To apply the appearance of the highlighted armor, press RT on your controller or left-click on PC.
Step 4: If you wish to hide your current armor, press RT or left-click while highlighting the equipped armor.
You can individually transmog your main armor, gloves, and boots for added customization. Just remember to keep any gear with looks you enjoy, as you need to own the armor you wish to transmog.
