If you’re trying to set up your new iPhone 17 Pro but keep getting an error message saying there’s “No Internet connection” when you try to enable Apple Intelligence, here’s a simple solution that can help you fix the problem.
First, even if you’re connected to Wi-Fi, the error might be caused by a VPN running on your old device. Sometimes, VPNs can interfere with the setup process. To check if this is the issue, follow these steps:
1. Go to your iPhone’s Settings app.
2. Tap on “General.”
3. Scroll down and select “VPN & Device Management.”
4. If you see a VPN profile listed, tap on it.
5. Choose “Delete VPN” to remove it.
After removing the VPN profile, restart your iPhone. To do this, press and hold the side button until the power off slider appears, then slide it to turn off. Turn your iPhone back on by pressing and holding the side button until the Apple logo appears.
Once your phone has restarted, try to set up Apple Intelligence again. This process should now work smoothly, and you should be able to complete the setup without the network error blocking you.
Remember, VPNs aren’t usually necessary on iPhones and can sometimes cause connection issues during setup. Removing any VPN profiles before setting up your new device often clears up these problems.
