If you’re having trouble printing in Google Chrome, here’s a simple trick that usually does the job. Sometimes, Chrome defaults to printing a simplified, very basic version of the webpage, which can cause problems or result in missing details. To fix this, you can change a setting in the print dialog.
First, press Ctrl + P on your keyboard or click on the three dots in the upper right corner of Chrome and select “Print.” Once the print menu opens, look for an option called “More settings.” Click on it to expand a few additional options.
In the “More settings” section, find the checkbox labeled “Background graphics.” Make sure this box is checked. Sometimes, pages look strange or incomplete when this option isn’t selected because certain background images or colors are hidden during printing. After you check this box, you can preview the document to see if everything looks right.
If you’re still having issues, try switching the “Print as image” or “Background graphics” options off and on. Also, ensure that your printer is working properly and that your printer driver is up-to-date.
This quick change often resolves most printing problems in Chrome. If you’re still struggling, consider updating Chrome or trying to print using a different browser like Firefox or Edge—they sometimes handle print jobs differently and may solve the problem more easily.
