If you’re using Azure Front Door and are concerned about your certificates rotating, here’s what you need to know and do.
First, understand that certificate rotation is a normal process managed by Azure. In the coming weeks, your certificates will automatically rotate, which is expected behavior and part of the security maintenance.
Azure Front Door Standard and Premium use managed certificates. These certificates are fully handled by Azure, and they rotate automatically whenever they are close to their expiration date—typically within 45 days before they expire. You don’t need to do anything manually for this; Azure handles the entire process seamlessly.
If you want to keep track or understand the rotation process, you can read more about it in Azure’s official documentation here.
Remember, if this information helps you, click the “up-vote” button and share it with others. Doing so helps fellow users in the community who might have similar questions or concerns.
By understanding this process, you can be confident that your certificates will stay valid without extra effort on your part. Just keep an eye on your Azure dashboard if you want to monitor certificate status, but overall, this is an automatic, behind-the-scenes process designed to keep your services secure and running smoothly.
