If you’re trying to figure out how to react to a message or post on a platform like GitHub, here’s a simple way to do it. Reactions can be a quick and easy way to share your feelings about a post, whether you agree, find it funny, or have other responses.
First, locate the message or issue you want to react to. Under the message, you’ll see a row of emoji icons representing different reactions. These might include thumbs up, thumbs down, laugh, celebrate, confused, heart, rocket, and eyes, among others.
Next to each emoji, you’ll see a number indicating how many people have reacted with that emoji. To add your reaction, simply click on the emoji you want to use. For example, if you liked the message, click the thumbs-up emoji. Your reaction will then be added, and the number will increase by one.
If you want to change your reaction, you can click on the same emoji again to remove it or select a different one. This makes it easy to express exactly how you feel about a message at any time.
Remember, reactions are a quick way to communicate without typing a response. Use them thoughtfully to show support, agreement, or to simply acknowledge a message. This small action helps create a friendlier and more engaging community.
