If you accidentally disconnected your keyboard and mouse from your Intel Core i7 computer, don’t worry — it’s a common issue that can be fixed easily. Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to reconnect everything and get your device working again:

First, check if your keyboard and mouse are properly plugged into the right ports. Sometimes, cables can get loose or disconnected by accident. Look at the back or sides of your computer and make sure the cables are firmly connected to the USB ports. If you’re using wireless devices, check that the USB receiver is correctly plugged into the computer.

Next, if your keyboard and mouse aren’t responding even when plugged in, try unplugging them and plugging them back in. Use different USB ports if possible — sometimes a particular port might not be working properly. Wait a few seconds after plugging them in to see if the devices start working automatically.

If they still don’t work, restart your computer. This often helps the system recognize new or reconnected devices. To do this, press the power button to shut off your PC, then turn it back on.

Once your machine starts up, check if your keyboard and mouse are working. If they’re still not responding, go to the device manager. On Windows, you can do this by searching for “Device Manager” in the search bar. Find the categories for “Keyboards” and “Mice and other pointing devices.” Right-click on your devices and select “Update driver” or “Scan for hardware changes.” This can help the system recognize the devices again.

If updating drivers doesn’t fix the problem, try using a different keyboard or mouse, if you have one available. Sometimes, the issue might be with the devices themselves, not your computer.

Finally, make sure your Windows is up to date. Sometimes, outdated software can cause hardware issues. To check for updates, go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and click “Check for updates.”

By following these steps, you should be able to reconnect your keyboard and mouse without trouble. If problems persist, it might be a hardware issue, and contacting a professional technician could be the next best step.
