Are you trying to match your Data Export costs with your current month’s bill? Here’s a simple way to do it.
First, you’ve exported your data using two different methods: the Standard Data Export – CUR2.0 and the Legacy CUR export. Both exports are set with month-by-month details. You want to focus on the Usage cost from your bill for this month.
To find the right data, you’ve filtered your exports based on the ‘line_item_line_item_type’ column, selecting only the entries labeled ‘Usage.’ This helps narrow down the data to the specific cost you’re interested in.
Your exports contain more than 100 columns, including several cost-related ones like ‘line_item_blended_cost,’ ‘line_item_net_unblended_cost,’ ‘line_item_unblended_cost,’ and ‘pricing_public_on_demand_cost.’
In this case, look for the column that directly represents the Usage Cost from your bill for the same month. From your options, ‘line_item_unblended_cost’ often aligns closely with specific usage charges. However, it’s best to compare these numbers with your bill to confirm.
To do this, compare the ‘Usage’ cost from the bill with the values in the ‘line_item_unblended_cost’ column in your export for the same month. This should give you a clear and accurate match.
If you find that ‘line_item_unblended_cost’ doesn’t quite match, try checking ‘line_item_net_unblended_cost’ or ‘line_item_blended_cost,’ as sometimes different reports use different cost views.
By following these steps, you’ll be able to find the correct column and compare your data accurately, making sure your export and bill align.
