Are you finding that Siri’s responses disappear too quickly after you ask a question? If so, you’re not alone. I recently started using Siri again after more than five years and noticed this problem myself. When I ask Siri how to spell a word, the answer pops up for a second and then vanishes. This makes it hard to see the full response or ask the same question again.
After doing some research, I didn’t find any official way to change how long Siri’s responses stay on the screen. It seems like a simple feature that Apple could add—something that would let users control the display time of Siri’s answers.
Until then, here are a couple of tricks to help you deal with this issue:
-
Use Voice Feedback: Instead of just looking at the screen, listen carefully to Siri’s response. You can also make Siri repeat or slow down the speech if needed.
-
Take a Screenshot: As soon as Siri responds, press the screenshot button. This way, you can save the answer and review it later.
-
Ask Follow-up Questions Quickly: If you need more information, ask your follow-up questions immediately right after the initial answer to keep Siri engaged or prompt longer responses.
-
Adjust Siri Settings (if available): Check your Siri settings in the device’s settings app. While there might not be a direct option for response duration, enabling speech feedback or increasing volume can sometimes help.
If Apple updates Siri in the future, hopefully, they’ll include a setting to control how long responses stay visible. For now, these tips can help you manage the quick disappearances and make using Siri a bit easier.
