How to Get Essence Materials in Infinity Nikki: A Complete Guide

One of the notable downsides of Infinity Nikki is its tendency to leave players guessing about the locations of rare crafting materials. Crafting clothing sketches is a fantastic way to acquire new outfits and enhance your wardrobe, but it often requires a large amount of materials, with Essence being a key one.

Eventually, you will come across clothing sketches that necessitate gathering Essence versions of materials you already know. However, the challenge lies in knowing where to find these Essence materials. If you’re not diligent about exploring the right areas, you might miss out. Here’s a guide on how to acquire Essence in Infinity Nikki.

Where to Find Essence in Infinity Nikki

Essence is not available right from the start of the game. You will only begin collecting Essence materials in Infinity Nikki after unlocking at least one of the four Ability Enhancement nodes located in the Heart of Infinity.

Step 1: Press the I key to access your Heart of Infinity menu. Ensure you have progressed beyond the tutorial and are ready to unlock various nodes.

Step 2: In the Heart of Infinity menu, look for four nodes on the bottom left, each with icons representing collecting, grooming, bug-catching, and fishing, indicated by upward arrows. Unlocking these upgrades will enhance your selected ability and allow you to begin gathering high-quality Essences.

Step 3: Before you can access these nodes, you must first unlock the preceding nodes. You only need to unlock one clothing sketch for the Collection Ability Enhancement, but ensure you’ve also unlocked the outfits for grooming, bug-catching, and fishing first, alongside their linked clothing sketches.

Each node requires specific materials to unlock. You will need 10,000 Bling and 1,000 Insight of the relevant type for each node. You collect Insight through these activities or by trading materials in the Realm of Nourishment. Just use any Warp Spire to enter this realm.

Step 4: Once you’ve unlocked the necessary Ability Enhancement, you will start earning Essences as you gather materials. Catching bugs will net you the respective Essence, and grooming animals will yield their Essence, among others. It’s important to note that you will only receive Essences for high-quality materials.
