If your MacBook and iPhone are running low on storage, don’t worry—there are simple steps you can take to free up space quickly. Sometimes, Apple’s built-in features, like their smart technology, can take up more space than you’d expect. If you don’t currently use these features, turning them off can help reclaim some storage.

First, check what’s taking up the most space on your devices. On your MacBook, click on the Apple menu and select “About This Mac,” then go to the “Storage” tab. Here, you’ll see a breakdown of what’s using space—like apps, files, or backups. On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage. Tips for cleaning up include deleting unused apps, removing large files or old photos, and clearing browser caches.

If you notice any Apple-specific features—like iCloud backups or certain smart functionalities—that you don’t use, turn them off. For example, disabling “Optimize iPhone Storage” for photos can help you manage your storage better. Be aware, though, that some features might save space automatically, but if you’re not using them, turning them off makes sense.

Additionally, you might want to clear out old messages, delete large email attachments, or offload unused apps on your iPhone. On your Mac, clean up your downloads folder or empty your trash to ensure there’s no unnecessary clutter.

Remember, always back up important files before deleting anything. These small steps can free up a good chunk of space and keep your devices running smoothly. If Apple makes any changes in future updates about their storage management, it’s worth keeping an eye out. For now, these tips should help you regain some of those precious gigabytes!
