If you’re trying to install Windows and your computer isn’t recognizing your storage drive, here’s a simple solution to fix that issue. First, I’ve prepared the necessary IRST drivers for you. Simply download the zip file and unzip it on your computer. Then, copy all the files from the unzipped folder onto a USB flash drive.
Next, make sure you have both the USB flash drive with the IRST drivers and your Windows installation media plugged into your computer’s USB ports. Turn on your PC and boot from the Windows installation drive.
When the setup begins, you might reach a screen that says no drives can be found. This is when you need to load the drivers. Click on the “Load driver” option. Then, browse to the USB flash drive and select the folder containing the IRST drivers.
There’s usually a box to check that says “Only include compatible driver.” If you check this box, it will only load the drivers that Windows recognizes as compatible. If your drive still isn’t showing up after that, uncheck the box and try selecting any of the listed drivers instead.
This process should help Windows detect your drive, allowing you to continue with the installation.
