If you’re trying to send a WhatsApp message using Siri but find that the message is addressed to “HJU” instead of the intended contact, you’re not alone. This can be quite frustrating, but there’s an easy fix to ensure Siri understands your commands correctly.

Here’s how to fix the issue:

  1. Check Your Contact Names:
Make sure the contact name in your phone matches exactly how you want to send the message. Sometimes, Siri might get confused if contact names are too similar or if they include nicknames.
  2. Update the Contact Name:
If your contact’s name is abbreviated or spelled differently, try updating the contact to the full name. For example, change “HJU” to “Henry Johnson.”
  3. Use the Exact Name When Talking to Siri:
When asking Siri to send a message, say: “Send a WhatsApp message to [Full Name],” rather than just the nickname or abbreviation.
  4. Check Siri and WhatsApp Permissions:
Ensure that Siri has permission to access your contacts and WhatsApp. You can do this by going to Settings > Siri & Search, and make sure WhatsApp is enabled.
  5. Try Manual Selection:
If Siri keeps misidentifying the contact, open WhatsApp, select your contact manually, and send the message directly to see if the problem persists.
  6. Reset Siri Voice Recognition:
Sometimes, resetting Siri’s voice recognition can help. Go to Settings > Siri & Search, turn off “Listen for ‘Hey Siri’,” and then turn it back on.

By following these steps, Siri should start recognizing your contacts correctly and send your WhatsApp messages to the right person. Remember, clear and full contact names make voice commands much smoother and more accurate.
