If Siri is no longer speaking out loud on your device, don’t worry — there are several simple steps you can try to fix the problem. First, double-check that your device’s volume is turned up and that it’s not muted. Sometimes, the issue can be as easy as a volume setting.

Next, go to your settings and make sure Siri is enabled. You can do this by opening the Settings app, tapping on “Siri & Search,” and confirming that the toggle is turned on. Also, check if “Allow Siri When Locked” is active, so your device will respond out loud even when it’s locked.

If Siri still isn’t speaking, try resetting Siri’s voice feedback settings. To do this, go to “Settings,” then “Siri & Search,” tap on “Voice Feedback,” and select “Always On.” This setting ensures Siri speaks out loud regardless of the situation.

Sometimes, software glitches can cause issues like this. You’ve already rebooted your phone twice, which is great. If the problem persists, try turning off Siri completely and then turning it back on. To do this, toggle off Siri in Settings, wait a few seconds, and then toggle it back on. If that doesn’t work, you might want to reset all settings on your device. To do this, go to Settings > General > Reset, then choose “Reset All Settings.” This process will reset your preferences but won’t delete your personal data.

Finally, make sure your device’s software is up to date. Go to Settings > General > Software Update and install any available updates, as this can fix bugs that might be causing the issue.

If none of these steps work, the problem might be with your microphone or other hardware. Try recording a voice memo or making a call to see if your microphone is working properly. If it’s not, you may need to visit an Apple Store or authorized repair center for further assistance.

By following these steps, you should be able to get Siri talking out loud again.
