Are you having trouble with Siri only replying with text and not speaking back to you? If you’ve already checked and adjusted all the voice response settings but it still isn’t working, here are some simple steps you can follow to fix the issue:
First, make sure Siri is enabled. Go to your device’s Settings, tap on Siri & Search, and verify that Listen for “Hey Siri” and Press Home or Side Button for Siri are turned on.
Next, check your audio settings. Sometimes, the issue is related to your volume or mute switch. Increase your device’s volume and make sure it isn’t muted.
Also, try restarting your device. This can resolve minor glitches that might be affecting Siri’s voice responses.
If Siri still only responds with text, reset your Siri settings. To do this, turn Siri off in Settings, then turn it back on. You might also want to turn off Voice Feedback under Siri & Search options and then turn it back on, selecting “Always” or “Control with Ring Switch” based on your preference.
Another potential fix is to update your device’s software. Go to Settings, tap General, then Software Update. Installing the latest updates can often fix bugs that affect Siri.
Lastly, if none of these steps work, resetting all settings can sometimes help. This won’t delete your data, but it will reset your Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other personalized settings. To do this, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. Keep in mind, you’ll need to set up your preferences again afterward.
Follow these steps one by one, and hopefully, your Siri will start speaking again as expected. If the problem persists after trying all these, it might be best to contact Apple Support for further assistance.
