If you’re having trouble getting your Ralink Bluetooth to work properly on newer versions of Windows 10 or even Windows 11, you’re not alone. Many users find that the device suddenly disappears from the device manager, making Bluetooth functionality impossible.
The good news is that there are a couple of simple solutions. The most effective one is replacing the Ralink Wi-Fi card with a different, more compatible model. A recommended upgrade is the Broadcom BCM4352 802.11ac Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 combo card, which should work smoothly with your notebook. Look for the HP part number 724935-001 if you want to find it easily.
If you prefer to stay with your current hardware and try to fix things, you might want to download the driver that was released by MediaTek (Ralink) over ten years ago specifically for HP. This driver is version 11.0.761.0. You can find the old driver here:
sp71572.exe
However, keep in mind that this driver might not be very helpful with modern Windows updates. It’s often better to replace the problematic Bluetooth hardware altogether, as older drivers and devices may not be compatible with newer operating systems.
In summary, if Bluetooth issues are persistent on recent Windows builds, replacing the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth card with a more compatible model is usually the most straightforward solution. Alternatively, using a USB Bluetooth adapter can be a quick and easy fix that gets you Bluetooth connectivity without opening up your device.
