If you’re experiencing an issue where your device seems to get stuck in a loop when trying to ask questions through a specific feature, here’s a simple guide to understand and potentially resolve the problem.
First, you activate the feature by pressing and holding the camera action button. Once done, a menu or interface called “Apple Intelligence” should appear on your screen. Next, you tap the “Ask” button while pointing your phone at an object, such as shoes with an oil stain. This button is supposed to automatically generate a question for ChatGPT based on what the camera sees. However, it’s important to note that the button’s label says “ASK!!!!”, which might lead you to expect to type your own question, but instead, it currently automates question generation.
Then, ChatGPT responds with some insights about the object, like identifying the stain and suggesting possible causes. After that, you can tap the prompt at the bottom that says “Ask about details…” and type in your specific question, for example, “Is there anything I can do to remove the stains?”
Here’s where the problem starts. The screen briefly shows “Working,” indicating it’s processing your request, but then it switches to a message at the top saying, “ChatGPT asks: What would you like to know?” Instead of answering your question, the system keeps looping without providing a response, asking the same question repeatedly.
If you’re facing this glitch, your best bet is to check for any app updates or software updates that might fix the issue. Sometimes, restarting your device or resetting app settings can help. If the problem persists, reaching out to customer support or checking official community forums can be useful to find out if others are experiencing the same bug and if there’s a known fix.
Hope this helps you understand the problem better and gives you some starting points to troubleshoot!
