If you’re using an iPhone 16 with the Dutch Siri region and device language settings, and you notice that the Apple Intelligence option isn’t showing up even though your iOS is version 26 or later, here’s a simple way to fix it.
First, check that your device is fully updated. Sometimes, new features are available only after the latest software update. Go to Settings > General > Software Update to see if there’s an update waiting. If there is, install it.
Next, verify your Siri language and region settings. Since you’ve set them to Dutch, try switching your Siri language to English temporarily. Head to Settings > Siri & Search > Language. Choose English (United States or another preferred version). Sometimes, specific features are only visible when using a more common language setting.
You might also want to check your device region. Go to Settings > General > Language & Region. Make sure the region is set to the United States or another country where the feature is readily available.
After making these adjustments, restart your phone. Then, revisit Siri settings to see if the Apple Intelligence option appears. If it still doesn’t, try resetting your Siri and Search settings: go to Settings > Siri & Search, turn off Siri, restart your iPhone, and then turn Siri back on.
If none of these steps work, reach out to Apple Support. There may be a specific issue with your device or account that they can help resolve.
By keeping your device updated, adjusting language and region settings, and restarting your phone, you’ll have a good chance to get the features you’re looking for. If issues continue, Apple Support is the best resource for personalized help.
