Having trouble with Siri not recognizing calls when call screening is turned on? If Siri isn’t alerting you or isn’t helping you pick up calls during call screening, here’s a simple way to fix that.
First, check your iPhone settings. Go to Settings, then scroll down and tap on Phone. Look for the option called “Call Silencing & Blocked Contacts.” Make sure that “Silence Unknown Callers” isn’t turned on if you want Siri to notify you of all incoming calls. When this feature is active, calls from unknown numbers are silenced and sent directly to voicemail, and Siri might not prompt you to answer.
Next, ensure that your Siri settings are set to listen for voice commands. Head to Settings, then Siri & Search, and make sure “Listen for ‘Hey Siri'” and “Press Side Button for Siri” are both enabled. This will allow Siri to respond to your voice prompts, even when call screening is active.
Another important step is to check your call screening preferences. If you’re using a third-party app for call screening, make sure it’s properly configured. Some apps may interfere with Siri’s call notifications, so review the app settings and permissions.
Finally, restart your iPhone. Sometimes, a quick restart can resolve minor glitches that prevent Siri from working properly during calls.
By adjusting these settings and ensuring nothing is blocking Siri’s notifications, you should start receiving call alerts even when call screening is enabled. If problems continue, updating your iPhone’s software can also help, as updates often fix bugs related to calls and Siri.
