Are you trying to update your PC’s BIOS but aren’t sure which one to choose? The key is to find your motherboard’s SSID, which tells you exactly which BIOS update is compatible with your system.
Here’s a simple way to find your motherboard’s SSID using your Windows computer:
- Click on the search bar on your Windows taskbar.
- Type “System Information” and open the app that appears.
- When the system info loads, look for the “Baseboard Product” line about a third of the way down the list. This line displays the information you need—it’s effectively your motherboard’s SSID.
Once you have the Baseboard Product info, you want to get the latest BIOS update that matches this information. Updates are different depending on the processor your PC has—either Intel or AMD.
For AMD processors, visit the HP support page dedicated to AMD-based systems. You can find it here: AMD BIOS and driver updates for HP OMEN Desktop PC 30L GT13-0000a.
If your PC uses an Intel processor, head over to the Intel-specific driver download page here: Intel BIOS and driver updates for HP OMEN Desktop PC 30L GT13-0000i.
Make sure to select the BIOS update that matches your motherboard’s SSID for a smooth and successful upgrade. Always follow the update instructions carefully to prevent any issues.
