If you’re having trouble with being unable to click or select items on a webpage, it could be due to some elements overlaying the content. This can happen if an overlay or modal is unintentionally blocking your access to other parts of the page. Here’s a simple way to fix this issue:
First, try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache. If that doesn’t work, you can manually remove the overlay by using your browser’s developer tools. Here’s how:
- Right-click on the overlay or the part of the page that isn’t responding.
- Select “Inspect” or “Inspect Element” from the menu. This opens the developer tools.
- In the developer tools panel, look for elements with styles like
position: fixed;or highz-indexvalues that might be covering your content. - Once identified, right-click on the overlay element in the panel and choose “Delete element” or “Remove”.
Be careful when doing this, and only remove elements if you’re sure they’re overlays or modals blocking your view. This method temporarily removes the overlay, allowing you to interact with the underlying content.
If you’re not comfortable doing this yourself, consider asking someone who has some experience with browser developer tools or contact the website’s support team to report the issue.
