If you’re having trouble finding the product number for your notebook because the serial number appears duplicated or there’s no option to select multiple notebooks from a dropdown menu, don’t worry—there’s an easy alternative.

First, click on the search icon on your Windows taskbar. Type “System Information” into the search bar. When the System Information app appears, open it. Once the app opens, look for the line labeled “System SKU” in the report. The product number for your notebook will be listed there, about a quarter of the way down the page. This method helps you find your device’s product number quickly and easily, even if the serial number isn’t helpful.
