If you want to update your computer’s TPM firmware, make sure your notebook is on the approved list. You can check this list through the link provided by HP support. If your device isn’t listed, you won’t be able to update the TPM firmware directly.

However, if you’re interested in upgrading to Windows 11, there is a workaround. You can bypass the hardware checks that usually prevent unsupported PCs from installing Windows 11. This is a common method used to upgrade systems that don’t meet all of Microsoft’s hardware requirements officially.

For those who are happy with their current PC setup and want to upgrade easily, I recommend watching a helpful video that clearly shows how to install Windows 11 version 24H2 on unsupported devices through an in-place upgrade. The video is straightforward and doesn’t require complicated commands, making it suitable even for those new to custom installations.

You’ll need to download the Windows 11 ISO file, which is available from Microsoft’s official website. Make sure to choose the correct version, typically the third option when downloading. Once you have the ISO file, you can proceed with the upgrade.

Additionally, you’ll need a file compression utility like 7-Zip, which is free to download. The 64-bit version is ideal for most systems and is available on the official 7-Zip website.

Remember, each October, Microsoft releases new builds of Windows 11. If your PC doesn’t meet the minimum hardware requirements, it won’t automatically receive these updates. To stay current, you’ll need to repeat the upgrade process each time a new build is released.

While this process might seem a bit inconvenient, it ensures your PC continues to receive regular updates and security patches beyond October 2025.

If you encounter any issues after upgrading to Windows 11, you can easily revert back to Windows 10 within 10 days—just make sure you haven’t deleted the Windows.old folder or the upgrade files. A simple tutorial video explains how to go back to Windows 10 if needed, making the rollback straightforward and stress-free.
