If you’re wondering whether you can get Siri to work properly or if it’s better to turn it off completely, you’re not alone. Sometimes, Siri may not respond as expected, or you might feel more comfortable without it. Here’s a simple guide to help you decide and to turn Siri or Apple Intelligence on or off, depending on your preference.
First, if you want Siri to work smoothly, make sure it’s enabled. Go to your phone’s Settings, find the Siri & Search option, and check if it’s turned on. You can customize how Siri works, like enabling voice commands or allowing access while using apps. Sometimes, just resetting Siri or updating your device can improve its performance.
However, if Siri isn’t functioning properly or you don’t see a need for it, turning it off is an option. To do this, go to Settings > Siri & Search, then toggle off the options for Listen for “Hey Siri” and Press Side Button for Siri. This will disable Siri entirely on your device.
As for Apple’s “Intelligence,” which includes features like predictive text, suggestions, and personalized alerts—if you find these features more of a distraction or privacy concern, you can disable them too. Look for Settings related to Siri & Search, then turn off options like Suggestions on Lock Screen, Look Up, or Siri Suggestions.
Deciding whether to keep or disable these features depends on your comfort and how much you use Siri. If you rely on voice commands for convenience, it’s worth troubleshooting or re-enabling Siri. If you prefer privacy or simplicity, turning off Siri and related features can give you a cleaner experience.
