Many Apple users, myself included, loved the seamless experience that Apple offered. That’s why I was willing to spend more for their devices — because they just worked, simple as that. But lately, things have taken a turn for the worse, and I’m seriously thinking about leaving Apple behind.
I’m heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem. I use a Mac, iPad, iPhone, AirPods, HomePods, and an Apple TV. But lately, Siri has become almost useless. For example, “Hey Siri” often gets triggered on devices that are nowhere near me. When my wife says “Hey Siri” to our HomePods, my iPad will go off — every single time. I even had to turn “Hey Siri” off on my iPad because of this. Plus, more often than not, when my wife asks Siri to do something on the HomePods, she responds with “Who is speaking?” It’s frustrating and makes the experience feel broken.
Honestly, I dislike the current experience so much I’m thinking about switching to another brand. Services like Gemini and ChatGPT outperform Apple’s Siri by a long shot, adding to my reasons to explore other options. If you’re tired of similar issues, it might be time to look into alternatives that offer a more reliable and user-friendly voice assistant experience.
