If you’re trying to copy text from a webpage, but the copy button isn’t working or the text isn’t copying properly, here’s a simple way to get around the problem:
First, select the text you want to copy. You can do this by clicking at the beginning of the text, holding down your mouse button, and dragging to the end of the text. Once the text is highlighted, right-click on the selected area and choose “Copy” from the menu. Alternatively, after selecting the text, you can press “Ctrl + C” on your keyboard (or “Cmd + C” if you’re on a Mac).
Next, open a plain text editor like Notepad or TextEdit. Click inside the blank window and then right-click to select “Paste” or press “Ctrl + V” (“Cmd + V” on Mac). This will paste the copied text into the editor.
From here, you can re-copy the text by selecting it again inside the editor and pressing “Ctrl + C” (“Cmd + C”). Now you have a reliable copy of the content that you can paste anywhere you need it.
This method is quick, doesn’t rely on webpage buttons, and ensures you can save or use the text as needed without frustration.
