Step-by-Step Guide to Adding an Email Signature in Mac Mail

1. Open Mail App
Launch the Mail application on your Mac. You can find it in your Applications folder or by using the Spotlight search.

2. Access Preferences
Once the Mail app is open, navigate to the menu bar at the top of the screen. Click on “Mail,” then select “Preferences” from the dropdown menu.

3. Select the Signatures Tab
In the Preferences window, you’ll see several tabs at the top. Click on the “Signatures” tab. This is where you’ll create and manage your email signatures.

4. Choose Your Email Account
In the left sidebar, you’ll see a list of your email accounts. Click on the account for which you want to create or modify a signature.

5. Create a New Signature
To create a new signature, click the “+” button located below the middle pane. A new signature box will appear.

6. Write Your Signature
In the text box, type out the signature you want to use. You can include your name, title, company, phone number, and even links to your social media or website. Feel free to format the text using the tools available—like changing the font, size, or color—to make it look just right.

7. Set Default Signature (Optional)
If you want this signature to be the default for your selected email account, you can choose it from the “Choose Signature” dropdown at the bottom of the Preferences window. You can also set it to be automatically included in every email or choose to add it manually.

8. Close Preferences
Once you’re happy with your signature, you can close the Preferences window. Your changes will be saved automatically.

9. Test Your Signature
Compose a new email to see how your signature looks. If you need to make changes, simply go back to the Signatures tab in Preferences and edit your signature.
