If you’ve recently gotten a new iPhone 16 Pro Max and are trying to make recording videos easier, you’re not alone. When I first got mine, I noticed a change in how the camera works. Previously, I could just press and hold the shutter button, and it would start recording automatically. Now, without configuring the visual intelligence feature, I found that after a long press using the camera control, it just opens the video directly. To start recording a video, I had to tap the button first, then select video, or open the camera, then long press to record.
If you want to jump straight to recording a video by simply long pressing the shutter button, there’s a setting that needs to be turned on. Here’s how to do it:
1. Open the ‘Settings’ app on your iPhone.
2. Scroll down and tap on ‘Camera.’
3. Look for the ‘Record Video’ option or any related camera control settings.
4. Check if there’s an option called ‘Hold to Record’ or similar and enable it.
Once you’ve enabled this feature, you should be able to press and hold the shutter button, and it will start recording immediately without having to navigate through menus. This makes quick video recording much more intuitive and saves time when you’re on the go.
Remember, camera settings can sometimes vary with updates, so if you don’t see these exact options, look for similar options related to quick recording or hold-to-record in your camera settings. This quick adjustment will give you a much smoother video recording experience!
