If you’re trying to remove the reactions from a GitHub discussion post, here’s a simple step-by-step method to do it:
First, go to the discussion where you want to clear your reactions. You will see emojis like thumbs up, thumbs down, smile, hooray, confused face, heart, rocket, and eyes, each indicating a reaction you or others have added.
Look for the specific reaction you want to remove. Next to each emoji, there’s a small number showing how many people have reacted with that emoji.
Hover over or click the emoji. When you do this, a button appears, allowing you to react or unreact. If you’ve already reacted, the button will be highlighted, indicating it’s active.
To remove your reaction, click on this emoji button again. Doing this will “unreact” and remove your reaction from the discussion post.
Repeat this for any other reactions you wish to remove. Once you’re done, your reactions will no longer appear under the post, and the reaction counts will update accordingly.
This process helps keep the discussion clean if you change your mind or want to withdraw your feedback. Just remember, removing your reaction doesn’t affect others’ reactions—only yours will be gone.
