Your Google account keeps track of various activities, including the videos you’ve watched on YouTube, the ones you’ve liked, and any comments you’ve posted. If you’re concerned about privacy and want to erase this information, follow these steps:
First, sign in to your Google account by going to myaccount.google.com in your web browser. After logging in, select the “Data & privacy” option found on the left side of your account dashboard, then scroll down to find “Web & App Activity.”

Next, scroll down again and select “Manage all Web & App Activity.” In the following screen, click on “Other activity” in the side menu, then choose “Manage activity” under the YouTube History section. To delete your data, click the “Delete” button which will reveal a drop-down menu; here, select “Delete all time.” If you prefer to remove just specific items, you can simply click the X next to those activities.
If you want to prevent Google from recording your YouTube activity altogether, click on “Saving your search history” to access your activity preferences. From there, click “Turn Off” to disable this feature. Alternatively, you can select “Choose an auto-delete option” to automatically erase old activity after 3, 18, or 36 months.
