If you need to capture a screenshot of your device information, especially from the Settings > About section, here’s a simple way to get the job done, even with Windows 11 and a crammed screen.
First, go to Settings and then select About to bring up your device details. If you need to send a screenshot showing your Windows version and that you’re connected via a wired connection, you might notice that some extra info, like FAQs, appears in the middle of the screen, making it hard to get a clear screenshot.
To fix this, try adjusting your screen resolution. Although changing the resolution usually helps, it may not make everything visible at once. Instead, a better approach is to use scrolling or multiple screenshots.
Here’s the step-by-step approach:
1. Maximize the Settings window so that it fits as much as possible on the screen.
2. If the info still doesn’t all fit, use your mouse or touchpad to scroll and capture multiple screenshots—you can take one of the top part and another of the bottom part.
3. To take a screenshot, press the Print Screen key (PrtScn). After pressing it, open a simple program like Paint or Word and paste the image by pressing Ctrl + V.
4. Save the screenshot from there.
If the info still isn’t fully captured, you can also use the Snipping Tool or Snip & Sketch tool built into Windows 11. These tools allow you to select specific parts of your screen to take a screenshot, making it easier to get the exact info you need.
By taking multiple shots or using these snipping tools, you’ll be able to gather all the necessary details for your job application without trouble.
