If you want to ask Apple Intelligence a question about a piece of text you’re reading, here’s a simple way to do it. Currently, Apple Intelligence doesn’t have a dedicated feature like CoPilot in Edge, Word, or other tools. However, you can still get a similar experience by using the built-in features on your Apple device.
First, make sure you have your text ready. You can copy the text you want to analyze or ask questions about. Then, use the following steps:
1. Highlight the text by clicking and dragging over it.
2. Tap on the “Share” button or the “Look Up” option that appears. On some devices, you might see an option called “Speak,” which can read the text aloud.
3. If you want to ask a question about the text, you can open the “Notes” app or any notes-taking app. Paste the text there.
4. You can then use your device’s voice-to-text feature to ask questions aloud, or you can type your question directly in your notes app.
Another way is to utilize Siri. You can say, “Hey Siri, what does this mean?” or “Explain this part,” while the text is highlighted or on your screen. While Siri isn’t designed specifically for deep analysis, it can help answer simple questions about highlighted text.
For more advanced assistance, consider using a web-based AI tool on your device. Copy the text and paste it into an AI chat or question-answering tool in your web browser. This way, you can get detailed explanations or answers just like you would with CoPilot in other programs.
While Apple Intelligence might not have the same advanced features right now, these methods can help you interact with your text smoothly and get the insights you need.
