If your computer isn’t working properly and you’re thinking about starting fresh, the best option is to use the HP cloud recovery tool. This tool helps you create a bootable USB drive that will erase your current files and settings, restoring your notebook to its original factory condition.
To do this, you will need a USB flash drive that has at least 32 GB of space. First, download the HP cloud recovery software from the Microsoft Store. Once downloaded, open the program and follow the instructions.
You will be asked to enter your notebook’s product number so the tool can create the correct recovery media. The easiest way to find your product number for a 15t-eg000 CTO model is to look up your serial number using the HP PartSurfer website. When you find your product number, note that you also need to add “#ABA” to the end of it. For example, if your product number is 7F5H4UA, you should enter it as 7F5H4UA#ABA in the recovery tool.
Once you’ve entered the correct product number, the tool will guide you through creating the recovery USB drive. Afterward, you can use this flash drive to reset your laptop back to factory settings, which can sometimes solve major problems or prepare your device for resale. Just be sure to back up any important files before starting, as this process will erase everything on your current drive.
