Select Language:

Are you wondering if you can use Apple Intelligence features on your iPhone when the display language is different from Siri’s language? Many users want to keep their phone display in English but prefer to have Siri respond in their native language, like Cantonese.

The good news is, yes, you can set your iPhone to display everything in English while having Siri understand and reply in Cantonese. To do this, you’ll need to adjust your Siri language settings separately from your phone’s display language. Here’s how to do it:

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
2. Scroll down and tap on “Siri & Search.”
3. Tap on “Language.”
4. From the list, select “Cantonese” or “Cantonese (Hong Kong)” if available.
5. Keep your display language set to English in the main Settings menu under “General” > “Language & Region.”

This way, your phone will display everything in English, but Siri can understand and speak in Cantonese. Many users find this setup helpful because it allows them to navigate their phone in a familiar language while communicating with Siri in their preferred language.

Hope this helps! Adjusting your Siri language separately is a simple way to match your preferences and make your experience more comfortable.
